It's the personal details that make all the difference. Michaela and her team provide excellent care and support to all the residents, but they also take the time to get to know them individually. In the 6 months since my Father moved in, they have got to know him and have even got him back in touch with old friends and teammates. They also make sure he has those seemingly small, but familiar things that can make him feel more at home.
My Mum has been here since October this year initially on respite but they have taken care of her so well that we are all happy for her to stay full time. Her needs are being met with care and compassion. Staff are lovely and very welcoming and supportive towards us as family. Thanks to them we feel that Mum is in a safe and caring home.
My mum is a resident at Claydon Lodge. Her health, both physical and mental had deteriorated to the extent that she could no longer safely live alone. Michaela, Claire and the whole team supported mum and us throughout the transitional process. There are times that mum is not 100% sure where she is but she does know that she is safe and happy there. Her room is kept clean and tidy and we have personalised it with a few of her treasured possessions. She is always clean and dressed well. I cannot put a value on the feeling of knowing that my mum is well cared for 24 hours a day. We visit most days at various times and the standards are always consistent. There are nutrition and hydration stations scattered around, mum loves the sweet trolley! The environment is dementia friendly with good signage. We are always welcomed and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Well done and thank you
The staff are warm and caring, the home is nice and clean with a homely feel. The garden is a lovely place to sit when the weather is nice and is well kept. We thank Michaela and the team for their continued care of our Nanna / Mum.
My mother in law spent only a short time here, but she was so happy. She loved the staff, who also made us so welcome. The front garden has been done and looks so welcoming. Unfortunately she had too go to a nursing home, We so wish she could have stayed here. Thankyou to all the staff you are all brilliant.
Mum recently had a months respite here. Staff very friendly and welcoming, it was nice that all staff from cleaners to carer's came up and chatted freely. This is testament to Michaela the manager, that there's staff inclusitivity with residents. Communication was good. Mum enjoyed her time here and ate like a trooper, she enjoyed the food tremendously 🙂
I cannot praise this care home and their staff highly enough. Unfortunately my mum was only with them for 6 months before she passed away but the love and support was outstanding. She was always clean with her hair nicely done, her clothes were spotless, they were very quick to notice when things weren't quite right with my mum and informed the doctors immediately. When my mum was put on 'end of life' we chose for her to go back here rather than stay in hospital because we knew, with no doubts whatsoever that she would get what she needed. The staff took the pressure of us by ringing the doctor and the funeral directors. The garden and conservatory are beautiful, very peaceful, i'm just sorry that my mum didn't get the summer there, her bedroom was spacious and clean. And yeah the front may not be very appealing but who is gonna spend there time sat out there, the inside and the staff more than make up for it. Pauline Reeve
My Mum goes into Claydon Lodge for respite on a regular basis. She looks forward to it saying it's like a holiday. The staff are kind ,caring and always treat my mother with dignity. I tour around the world as part of my job and knowing my mother is in Claydon Lodge while I am away has always given me great peace of mind .
